Easy Riders Surf School is located in Jaco Beach, on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica.  We provide daily surf lessons and tours, and all-inclusive surf packages for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfer. 

Learn to surf the SAFE, EASY way!! 

It is amazing how a professional surf instructor can accelerate your learning curve and take away some of the frustration that most beginners face when starting a new sport. 

All of Easy Riders’ experienced, bilingual, local surf instructors have vast ocean knowledge, to help you learn in a fun and safe environment.  Their friendly and patient approach to teaching will help you progress efficiently and safely throughout your entire lesson. 

Beginner’s 2 hour Surf Lesson includes: 

·       ½ hour instruction on the beach, teaching basic techniques such as stretching, water safety, how to paddle, pop-up, stand on the board, and ocean awareness-including how to read the waves, the tide, the swell and the wind.

·       1 ½ hour  instruction in the water with your instructor, practicing basic techniques of how to read and ride the waves.

·       Transportation to and from the beach, all equipment-including soft-top or fiberglass surfboards, rashguards, and bottled water.

Intermediate/Advanced Surfers: 

Easy Riders Surf School, in Jaco Beach, is a short 5 miles from the Central Pacific Mecca of surfing, Hermosa Beach.  It is Internationally known as the best, most consistent surf break in Costa Rica.  Hermosa, and other close-by breaks, such as Esterillos  Centro and Bejuco, offer long waves which break close to the shore, geared more towards the hard-core surfer. 

There are also a variety of beach breaks, reef breaks, and point breaks, all within short driving distance.  For example, Boca Barranca is a very long left that breaks off a river mouth, and is an ideal wave for long boarding, as it does not get hollow.  However, on a good day, you can catch a ride up to 500 yards.  Best on a southwest swell. 

Easy Riders Surf School will personally guide you to all these different local spots.  All of our bilingual guides are local surfers, with many years of competitive and free-surfing experience.   You will have the advantage of years of surfing these breaks, so there will be no worries or time wasted trying to find the best, uncrowded waves.    

Included in your package is a High Definition, one-of-a-kind video personalized just for you.  We will capture your surf vacation in photos on CD and high quality video on DVD.
